Objective: map and classify videos published on YouTube® about childhood bruxism. Materials and methods: the research was done on YouTube® using keywords about the topic. The first 60 videos for each term were selected and included according to the following criteria: videos published lasting between 4 and 20 minutes. Videos with poor sound or image quality were discarded. Descriptive analysis of the data was carried out and the classification of the videos followed the Concepts and Categories instrument. Results: the videos had a total of 3,551,953 views on the day of collection and the video with the highest interaction rate (17.03%) was not the one with the highest number of views. The most watched video (approximately 2 million views) was a religious report that associates bruxism with mystical causes, without scientific basis, with a misleading concept and a category of lay users. The 21 instructional/educational videos created by professionals were all deemed useful. Conclusion: it was concluded that the videos mapped and evaluated varied according to their origin, being mostly of an informative nature, as an initiative of professionals and classified as useful. However, there is still a low presence of videos originating from academic institutions, which may seek to occupy these prominent spaces, bringing greater evidence to the lay population and professional training.
